Brickanta's first acquihire: a construction lawyer's self-built AI tool joins the agentic operating system for construction

Praxiom AI, a tool built independently by construction lawyer Anne Wijkman, has been acquired by Brickanta, the agentic AI operating system for builders. It is the company's first acquihire.

Brickanta, the agentic AI platform for builders, today announced its first acquisition: an acquihire. Former lawyer Anne Wijkman joins the company along with Praxiom, the AI tool for construction law she built on her own.

Questions about additional works, warranty periods, delay liability, and contract interpretation shape the outcome of construction and real estate projects worth hundreds of millions of kronor every day. Yet most project managers, procurement leads, and construction managers have no real access to the court rulings that actually determine how these questions get decided. The knowledge exists. It has just been out of reach for the people who need it most: the ones running the projects.

That gap is where Anne's idea started. As a lawyer specialising in construction and real estate law, she saw early on that AI could open court practice up to more than just lawyers. She built Praxiom on her own: an AI tool grounded in a database of more than 300 court rulings on construction law, dating back to the 1990s.

Brickanta now acquires the tool and the database behind it. Anne joins full-time in May 2026 and will lead the development of construction law as an integrated part of the platform.

“Many people in construction don't have access to relevant case law, and even fewer have a fast, easy way to navigate construction law itself. Seeing how AI agents like the ones Brickanta builds can solve this is remarkable. With AI we can put that knowledge directly into the hands of project managers, procurement leads, and construction managers, not only lawyers.”

In practice, the acquisition gives Brickanta's users access to a new module: AI agents for construction law with court practice. The module delivers immediate, AI-generated answers to legal questions that come up in live construction projects, each with direct references to real court rulings.

The use cases cover the full project lifecycle: contract review before signing, ongoing project management when questions of price adjustment or additional works arise, and situations where parties need to assess their legal positions. The point is to give builders better conditions for making the right decisions at the right time.

“When we heard how quickly Anne's AI tool had caught on with other lawyers, we knew this was too good to pass up. Anne is a sharp lawyer and a genuine early adopter who built a working AI tool on her own. That's exactly the combination of domain expertise and technical curiosity we want on the team. Our first acquihire is a signal of how we're building Brickanta: by bringing in the sharpest people and the best tools.”

Brickanta's agentic AI module for construction law and court practice rolls out gradually through summer 2026, with priority access for existing partner customers.
